Starting a New Life in Canada
Ahsanul Hafiz was born in Bangladesh and raised in a family that valued education, honesty, and hard work. His mother was a schoolteacher and his father was a small business owner. From them, he learned that success should come through effort and integrity, and that people should always try to support their community and treat others with respect.
In 2002, he came to Canada. The first place he landed was Scarborough, and he soon left to study at the University of Windsor. He eventually graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, with studies focused on economics, statistics, finance, and business management. Like many newcomers, he worked while studying to support himself. In 2004, he took a job delivering pizzas for Domino's. Over the years, he would always return to Scarborough Southwest, where his family, friends, and community gathered.
It was a simple job, but he treated it as an opportunity. He worked hard, learned every part of the business, and earned the trust of his team. By 2006, while still completing his degree, he had already been promoted to General Manager. Those early years taught him persistence and responsibility. Building a life in a new country requires patience, teamwork, and people who believe in giving others a chance.
